Much to his surprise, Jakarta was taken to a gathering of seemingly powerful people. It had been decided that he would be the next leader of SA. Jakarta explained that he was just on holiday and was due to head back to his country the following day. It was made clear that Jakarta was not at liberty to reject the decision that had been made. Jakarta, who had felt emotionally dead for quite a few years now, continued with his protestations for a while (including the very obvious fact that he was not capable of carrying out the proposed role) but then shrugged his shoulders and asked what was expected of him.
